4.) Family offering help – As much beauty as we’ve seen. With all the awesomeness of affordable prices. It has NOT been a perfect trip. (🙄 I know, no trips are.) My family is watching the videos, reading the blog and offered help with anything and everything they could. *sniff* I’m not shocked because I feel loved by family but STILL… The offers are empowering because they allow positive thoughts to stack up in my head. I have NO idea how they could get help or even money here but the freaking OFFERS make good things seem possible. Add that with my Gratitude Journal and voila, I’m in a good place, better space and ready to keep trucking.
3.) That WHATEVER it was, was good as hell! – GUUUUUUUURL. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Its like SOME kind of fish, fried in some kind of bread, shaped like a fist-sized HUSHPUPPY. Now, so far, the food has been AMAZING around here. (The Ecuador 🇪🇨 grub. We tried a Chinese spot at the kids’ fevered request and I was NOT impressed. Matter fact, I was pretty much not liking it. THIS? ⬆️ THAT? ⬆️ Was good, had more seasoning and just like those Netflix cooking shows, travel stuff, you could taste the FRESHNESS of the fish. Mmmmmmm! I’m grateful because I was hungry as heck and that ONE piece had me full from 2pm till….. 🤷🏾♂️ I got busy but its 8am and I’m not starving.
2.) Clothes washed! – *bows* We needed it because we brought 8 outfits for a 15-day stay. I damn sho ain’t washing but the Queen did. She started as SOON as we entered the doggone spot! 🙏🏾
1.) Queen thought ahead – It’s not just washing. She thought ahead, scooped a secured credit card and brought as our backup emergency cash. *DEEEEEEEP FUCKING SIGH OF RELIEF* That’s how we got to Manta. That’s how we/SHE washing. That’s why there is drinkable water in the spot. Towels for showers? She brought that and the Air BnB didn’t leave towels, utensils, bowls, plates, NOTHING. She brought her computer for streaming and good thing because we have not solved how to add English captions or even log OUT of Netflix so use ours! 🤦🏾♂️💪🏾
