Gratitude Journal Day #160: Thursday, 3/11/21

Friday Eve. Shhhhhiiiiiid, we damn near made it now. *rolls dice* Boom. Three Gratitudes coming right up.

3.) Greatest Salmon Ever – BRUH. The Queen made the perfect, freaking salmon last night! *does the moowah kiss* She “crusted” it (LOOK. Ya boi ain’t no chef or food blogger so I don’t know the right words.) and right underneath that crust, there lay a wisp of something lemon-y. Nothing to overpower the flavor of the bite but it was there. *sucks teeth* Ooooo, it was good. Settled my nerves after a looooong shift and completely took my mind off grabbing a beer or a shot. My goal was no alcohol till 9pm Friday! #TakingSteps

2.) Figured out the IQR stuff – Queens. Kings. Sisters. Brothers. Rest of y’all. These public schools are NOT meshing with life. It took me FOREVER to solve that interquartile range in 6th grade Math! IQR is where you’re taking a list of numbers, ordering them greatest to least, separating them into 2 groups, find the median OR mean of the 2 SEPARATE groups (group Q1 and Q3) and subtract them. πŸ™„πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ Why would that be needed? Like, for real, it’s 6th grade. What are you building off that skill? I get it’s some statistical hogwash butπŸ‘ŽπŸΎπŸ˜¬ there’s soooooo much more IMPORTANT stuff. I’m grateful I learned it so I could pass it along.

1.) Gratitude is a MF – Everyone knows that I pump Gratitude as a life-changing, better YOU, skill. Anyone and everyone can get better with the skill of Gratitude and it returns your appreciation and presence. I’ve told stories about finding money at home, qualifying for random rewards that coincide with bills, stronger relationships with my Queen and kids (Yoo. Real talk, my eldest gives ME hugs now. #Boom.) and all kinds of “blessings”. Yesterday was no different. I finished my Audible book and the next one cost me a doggone token. (I’m trying to save tokens for the Queen because Audible was HER birthday gift.) Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, I discover that Maurice Broaddus put his Knights of Breton Court on Audible and it came with her subscription. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ I’m reading that series now and switching to Audible means I can hear it shaving, yoga, hanging out, etc. Gotta love that timing!
