Gratitude Journal Day #110: Tuesday, 1/19/21

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

Yoo. Y’all think I’m playing about this wellness? This journey of healing of my damn self with the Queen’s help and team’s support? *duck face* Well, I’m not. I’m consistent on these 1s and 2s, sharing what I discover and pushing for improvement. I got BETTER by changing my diet, dropping the land animals and becoming a Pescatarian. I got BETTER when I started yoga, pushing my limits, having daily checkpoints to track my progress. I got BETTER when I added meditation, paying attention to how I felt, when I felt and sitting there dealing with it. I’m getting BETTER as I track my water intake, conscious of the fact I need 120oz every day or the plumbing grinds to a halt (And I do mean, GRIND. *tears*). I’ve learned these things since that fateful March 1st, 2017 neurologist visit that ended with me quitting healthcare. I’m starting my day with THIS because I am grateful that I realize my happiness, perspective and mindset in my hands.

3.) RED headphones working! – Check it. I’ve been work-from-home for a little over 90 days. In that 90 days, a good 75 of them were using a low-grade, CHEAP ASS, hard headset that hurt my ears and left marks on my precious, bald head. *shrugs* (I think I’m pretty and so what.) Yesterday, I decided to try the original, RED headset from company #1. OMG!!! My ears felt like they were wrapped a temper-pedic mattress compared to the black ones. #woooosah The cord is lighter and I feel less weight on my head and neck. That mug has a clip so I can arrange it at different angles over the wheelchair. Siiiiiiiiis, I felt so much more comfortable knocking out my shift on Monday. *fist bump*

2.) Correct phone case – Finally! On case #3, ordered from Amazon, I got the correct phone case for my new old phone. New old? Really? It’s when you get something new to YOU but old to everyone else. I got the Note 9 case and the effect was immediate. I didn’t worry and trip so much using the phone out of fear I would drop it. A bulkier size made it easier to hold as well. #Whew. I done dropped that mug liiiiiiiiiiiike……. *runs out of fingers counting*

1.) Kids #4 *sniff* – I love ALL my kids. I do. We all love ALL our kids. *salute* Sometimes, they do stuff, little stuff, that just blows a parent’s mind. That is kid #4. She spent her LAST bit of allowance to buy her aunt a birthday gift and send it to her through the mail. Awwwww. I mean that “awwwww” too. She is that sweet all the time and I love it about her. She acts excited to see my disabled ass everyday, she helps every sibling with their chores… I’m grateful for that Daddy’s Girl.
