Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)
I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…
I love my potnas, homies, Kings, Queens, brothers, sisters and Family. My life is a constant shuffle and remix of routines, actions, diet and anything else capable of managing Multiple Sclerosis. For all the changes, my Tribe continues to rock and roll with me. Nobody give me a hard time for trying so hard, believing so much and always looking beyond the bullshit. My Tribe asks my advice on the changes I make because they feel it will help them too. They ask and inquire into my health and wellness, celebrate my successes and personally, intentionally bring good times to my environment.
5.) My girls saw SNOW – Yaaay! They’ve seen snow before. It sprinkled snow here a few years ago and we went to CO on a “Christmas cannabis exploration” in 2017. It wasn’t enough to make snowmen or throw snowballs but it was enough for pictures, videos and memories. ❄
4.) Didn’t take a SIP of liquor OR beer! – Starting my 2nd week of living sober. The MOST I’ve done is 17 days but that wasn’t tested. This weekend, we pulled an ALL niter, drinks, jokes, music, medicine, imported food (fancy way of saying I bought DashDash), TATTOOS, the house party extravaganza with 5 adults. 😉 Gotta play by covid rules even at home. All that and I did NOT drink a bit, sip, sniff, taste, NOTHING. 💪🏾 The squad did its best to support me through the good times nite by barking & fussing, “KEN! Put that glass down. YOU not posed to be drinking!” 🤷🏾♂️ I wasn’t. I was making drinks for others to keep going! 🤣
3.) My energy levels are improving! – It has been about a week and I can FEEL my energy going up. I wake up earlier. I get sleepy less at my work desk. I’m NOT sleeping more yet but I have more energy throughout the day. Example, I feel asleep 1am on Saturday morning, woke at 4:30am (shakes % spasms), stayed up all Saturday night with friends, finally slept during the Sunday night playoff games but woke up every hour or so. My body is TIRED AF but my mind is running sprints and hunting thoughts. Well, I’m grateful for that twist because I SHO gotta work today. 🤔🤞🏾👏🏽
2.) Watched my 1st FULL NFL game since October – LOL! MAAAAAAAN. What I did was stay up all night. I tried to sleep but no go with MS so I watched the whole Saints/Bears playoff game. I THOUGHT I did. What my tired butt actually did was watch the REPLAY of their October matchup mistakenly believing IT was the playoff game. 🙄😮🤐🤣 When it hit OVERTIME and went off, I understood. DAMN.
1.) Everybody got home SAFE – #SaluteMyAssOff EVERY time folks get home SAFE. 🖤🖤🖤🤜🏾🤛🏾
