Gratitude Journal Day 66: Family Assignment 3 of 5

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

My son had the bright idea to do their Gratitude Journals in this fashion. Everyday, they write 5 Gratitudes but ONE has to be a whole paragraph. They sometimes share with each other but not really. I read the entries that they offer when I ask. (I’m trying to treat it kinda secret so they feel it’s important to THEM.) Now, since the entries are part of their allowances, Journals do get “skimmed” buuuut… #YouGetIt

Well, I decided to remix the activity. I miss working with them on stuff because during the first pandemic-related shut down, I was the remote school teacher. Today, they write one reason that they’re grateful for each family member but ONE has to be the full paragraph. Nope, I’m not gonna count sentences or anything but I will be “skimming” to ensure it was taken seriously. *makes money sign with fingers*

Kid #2 for always, like pretty much ALWAYS holding down his sisters. *stands proud* Even when he was younger, HE was the “responsible one”. I don’t tell him enough but I trust TF out of him and THAT is the juice I look for a GROWN friend. My potnas comes from ALL walks, backgrounds, cultures but the ONE thing we have in common is that we are the type of guys that prefer hanging at the crib over most shit. That’s the energy, vibe I get from my son. He’ll be protector, giver and that is sacred.

The Queen does a LOT of stuff in her new family role as QUEEN but I appreciate how MUCH she talks about the blog, business, ideas, delegating duties, growth, prompts, image, fonts *mind BLOWN*… DAWG, I can’t describe how anything and everything becomes SOME-thing for my blog and *sniff* That’s what’s up.

1st Young Adult for her presence. It’s damn near midnight, my Queen are discussing the BLOG, I’ve just had a 2 1/2 half hour jam session and the presence to NOT interrupt because you see the intensity/urgency between us… *tips hat* Yup, we figured it out before she ever slid in.

Kid #4 (“2nd grade”) for her report on Diwali. Shhhhhhiiiiiiiiiii, I didn’t know ANY of the information she dropped and now, I know better.

Kid #3 for offering to edit my Zooms into a single, cool looking video with intro’s and stuff. She said she’d do it for free and I’m like, “Naaaaaaaah Dawg. I’m PAYING you because I’ve seen YOUR work & hustle.”

This is an excursion of awakening into positive thinking, entrepreneurship, and natural healing while living life. In short, I am an AWESOME teacher-turned-Passioneer. No, I didn't retire because kids were too crazy, pay was too small, work was too much or forced to give too many tests. A Passioneer is an individual that exercises passion.
