Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)
I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…
I had a MONSTER successful weekend FULL of meditation, yoga, SEPARATE workouts and overall feeling of “goodness”. I attribute that sense, feeling, energy to my concentrated efforts of self-care and speaking to my ancestors. I don’t try EVERYDAY but I try several times per week. I don’t feel GREAT everytime but when I do, I’m grateful and think how to get it more. Today, when setting my attitude, I saw this and knew it was supposed to happen.
On to the Gratitude entry!
Yoo! I’m digging THIS thing. I was telling my ancestors thank you a lil while ago because my head feels so clear. Despite the inconvenience and discomfort of chronic pain and disability, there are times you feel good, strong, CRUNK. On those days, recognize the energy and do SOMETHING with it. Play video games, grind the clock, build, go, get BUT stop and appreciate that you feel BETTER.
4.) Traded PM football for family movies! 📺 Texans and Titans lost but I bounced back with family movies. We watched the new Netflix Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting, ParaNorman, Frankenweenie and some stuff I don’t remember. Halloween is this weekend and that’s my family favorite holiday so it’s Halloween movie time. I’m grateful because OTHER weekends, I damn near pay my kids to watch movies with ol Daddy! 😉
3.) I had the biggest plate of my October last night! 😋 A SLAB of catfish and seafood gumbo. 🥘🐟 Maaaaaan, I ate and ate and ate. THEN, she had the nerve to lay out a whole blackberry cobbler. *jaw drops* I’ve never seen my wife bust out a cobbler. Daaaaawg, it was POPPING, blackberries were sweet, crust was gentle. I woke UP full and done. We gotta rice cooker so even that was on point and fluffy.
2.) Pleased to report that I FINALLY beat a human being in Madden on PS4! *proud* Me – 👏🏾pt. MS – 🤷🏾♂️pts YES. YES. YES. YEAH BABY!! Beat my little brother, who has beat me three years STRAIGHT. 😑 Not A game. For 3 years, I’ve lost EVERY game to him and EVERY other human user. I won last night tho. I had shaking hands but won. I couldn’t feel 3 fingers but won. I needed RR breaks but I freaking WON. It is a GOOD ass feeling to work for something and earn it. I’ve been practicing, training, my bro’s come through on weekends and help me play by teaching me stuff. It paid off and I wanted to SCREAM for joy! *mocking voice* “But Kendrick, it’s just a silly game. Why you so happy? You getting money?”
NOPE but I got some pride and dignity back. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
