Gratitude Journal Day 15: Hump Day, 10/14/2020

Why keep a Gratitude Journal at all? (This is the saaaaaame intro for every Gratitude Journal entry. It’s here for the newbies to the journey.)

I try to start everyday with a Grateful heart. *duck face* Potna, I ain’t lying. You can check my IG accounts Queen/King. I get a lil raunchy on the Multiple_Sclerosis_Outlaw but I’m calmer, gentle with allthingsonelove. On both, I start my day sharing Gratitudes, stories of Gratitude and anything related to being Grateful. I’m dead ass serious about my Gratitudes because it keeps me present and accountable for my own energy. I recognize and appreciate the actions, words and energy of others intending me good. By starting my day with Gratitude, I have less MS pain, MS symptoms and MS depression because I’m actively pushing my thoughts towards a positive direction of Gratitude. My relationships with others are stronger because my Grateful ass notices what others do for me, to me, WITH me. *bows* I could go on and on and on and on about the benefits of being purposefully grateful buuuuuut… *whispers* Pssst, you know I wrote about it…

Why I chose THIS to start my day…

3.) Checked the mail and no NEW bills! πŸ‘πŸΎ SNAP! When I was a kid, there was real joy in checking the mail. I knew nothing was for me but just going was a treat. As a father, I see that spunk, spark in my kids’ eyes. PERSONALLY, I learned loooooooong ago that mail threatened my sanity. Bills, credit card offers, discounts, coupons, invitations, junk would “gang gang” on me and even with TWO good legs, I couldn’t escape. They beat me up every month. I knew it was time to pay some stuff so I sent dem kids on a mission to retrieve whatever was in the mailbox. (Y’all ain’t got COMMUNITY mailboxes where you stay? *impressed* I see ya BAAAAALLA. πŸ€œπŸΎπŸ€›πŸΎ) They returned with nothing I couldn’t pay myself. πŸ’±  I’m finna go a whole month paying my bills on time! *screaming like I dunked on THE Michael Jordan* πŸ“¬

2.) Chia seeds, water and a sweet potato smoothie. πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ₯” I’ve been struggling with plumbing AGAIN. Today, I broke down in frustration and pain. “Babe, I need to do something with my stomach before I freaking EXPLODE like a balloon. I can’t BM. I can’t tinkle. Fuuuuck, I can’t even FART. I’m miserable.” She had an idea; FINALLY, schedule a Dr. visit. πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ Yoo. I stood up (SAT up if you wanna be specific). “No way. I’ll go with SmartMove tea or Magnesium Citrate before swanging into a doctor all willy nilly! Can’t you do your sweet potato smoothie? Pluuuhlease. I gotta work”. 😣😭 She did but insisted I drink a glass of water with a TON of chia seeds. (😝 but I’m all about that action, herbal, food remedy sooo… I don’t need a pep talk to try NEW shit. ✊🏾)

DAMN. Within 20min, I was working on my throne. Within an hour, I was back for round two. Lunchtime? I missed it with round three. The rest of my shift, I was zipping & zapping for #1s bout every 30min. Was every 30min too much? Heeeeeeeell YEAH but *raises eyebrows* it doesn’t HURT and I’m ready to not hurt. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

1.) My former trainer sent me a “study package”! OMG! πŸ€œπŸΎπŸ€›πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ And I mean a REAL packet PACKET. I have charts, graphs, websites, color coded information, short cuts, links even practice-like stuff. *dancing in a shower of worksheets & study guides* I needed it. I broke down and asked a former colleague about some way to prepare for my upcoming Medicaid/Medicare knowledge tests. Actually, I specifically asked for her “cheat sheet call flow” to use with customers. The colleague popped back within 10minutes with a whole Google folder of stuff AND the call flow was a PDF. *jaw drops* (Just saying, SOME-times I get off websites, load times, slow Wi-Fi. Just slide me a “physical copy” so I can at least download it and never require internet.) “Hey, the trainer said to tell you good luck. She hoped you’d ask for something and saved it for ya.” πŸ’»πŸ–¨πŸ“±
